We prepared for our HCI (Human Computer Interaction) Presentation, first by collecting user requirements.

We designed a questionnaire to be taken by 30 children with disabilities, so that we could better understand their needs. 2 of these children also participated in a semi-structured interview to go more in-depth about what they look for in our UI.

Our key finding was that many have never played video games nor used Motion Input before. Therefore, it is crucial that our UIs are intuitive, and contain information boxes that users may click into to find explanations of what each options does.

We also began drawing sketches and prototypes. Below is a sketch that we made. This is detailed in the HCI section of our website.
